‘The King of Lochee ‘
‘The King of Lochee’, which will be presented late 2010, is a St John’s Community Enterprise Project which involves pupils in all aspects of the production.
In essence it is a play with music that combines the curricular subjects and the social history of Lochee. It details the growth of Lochee from the draining of Balgay Loch through to the industrial era and World War II up until the present day.
It integrates the community of St John’s and celebrates and showcases the talented pupils of St John’s and the feeder primaries. It draws on the strengths that they currently have and promotes advancements in their learning in areas that are new or enhances development in associated curricular areas in line with Curriculum for Excellence.
