Hamish the Goalie/Love is in the Air

In May 2010 St John’s pupils and staff embarked on a project that strengthed our partnership with Dundee United and showcased what a talented bunch of musician we and the club have.
A double A-sie CD was produced with a re-recording of Love is in the Air and Hamish the Goalie.
Love is in the Air was sung by Emily Walker and Dundee United 1st team Scottish Cup Winning Sqaud of May 2010.
The song was released to coincide with the Scottish Cup Final and help United on their winning way! It was produced and distributed for sale in Groucho’s, Dundee, Dundee United shop, Dundee United Trading Post and is now available to download from ITunes.
All proceeds will go towards supporting the Community Enterprise Project and a donation will be made towards United for Kids.

Aoife McGuigan O’Brien former pupil of St John’s re-record and released the other song on the CD called ‘Hamish the Goalie’, penned in 1983 by Michael Marra in tribute to Dundee United legend, Hamish McAlpine. This project involved Music, Business Studies, Computing, Art and English were involved in the project. This is available still to buy at the outlets named above.
